Everyone
|
Wednesday, we will do full makeup.
Be here in my room by 8:30. Do
not put anything in my room. Put your stuff in the dressing rooms. Everyone should have shoes, socks, etc. If
you do not have all your stuff, text me. You will return to school after
lunch.
Set up welfare scene quieter.
Hits need to be stronger
Laughs need to be real.
Have your involvement in the welfare
scene be different from everyone elses.
Don’t walk behind the scrim.
Gates be on time
Gates stand still
Sing loudly – it is not how well you
sing, but how much passion you have for the song.
Move bar scene slowly

Do not walk into Hilton’s office. The Union hall is different from the strike
area. One is inside. One is outside.
If you are injured, act like it.
Alternate swings in the beginning

Louder and cold in welfare scene
We need more people noises.
Know your cues!!!!

After scene 17 everyone should be on
stage until the end.
Do not react to steel hits.
Have energy
Don’t be bunched up in train
scene. We will work on that Monday.
Alternate sitting and standing
No standing in straight lines
Different poses during parade scene

Faster on last lines. More energy
|
We need to have more energy when we start the play. It seems that everyone is tired when we start and something needs to be done about that. If we have more energy then the play won't seem to drag on.
ReplyDeleteOur biggest problem right now is that we are not believable. We need to live in the moment and live the play, because at this point we don't even believe it. Who are we to expect they audience to believe we are hungry beat down strikers if we don't.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing better but still working on people noises and transitions. Those are usually those are the things that kill us. I need to work more on organizing backstage people were tripping. And I will write left and right in the gloves.
ReplyDeleteWe did great today at the clinic. I think we need to work on transitions because they were slow at some points we also need to work on our lines because we skipped a whole scene today.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to be more secure in our motivations, for our actions and our lines. Be comfortable with your character, bring aspects of yourself into it. Some of us are still trying to get a feel for the character, they need to be developed at this point.
ReplyDeleteIt kinda hits you when a critic says that they are disappointed. The good news is that we will get a second chance! Transitions, transitions, transitions.
ReplyDeleteThe snow machine works so good it's amazing how it makes the scene so much better. We need to go through the entire play at least once so we can fix all the transitions.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to rehearse our accents and get those down. There needs to be more reacting and more energy from everyone.
ReplyDeleteSome transitions are slow and need to be fixed. All actors need to be their character, show emotion and act. Work on things out side of the rehersals
ReplyDeleteI think that our lights and sounds have to know their cues. We cannnot afford to make mistakes on that...or on anything. Transitions are weak. We are not believable in many scenes. It's going to take a lot of hard work to get this play where it needs to be. Hopefully everyone is willing to work at it.
ReplyDeleteFrom what everyone says on this clinic it sounds like y'all didn't do all that great...y'all still have more clinics keep your heads up and work on lines and y'all moods you guys need to put your hearts in it make it real like you are really living it
