People noises You are waiting on lines.  Commit to getting where you need to be. Look at exit sign in the beginning Voices need to be out there. People noises throughout Quiet setting welfare scene and striking welfare scene. Quiet setting 1st union scene . Quiet setting 2nd union scene. Sell yourselves with your voices at the get go. Bodies must go with the voices. Welfare scene – IT IS COLD!  YOU ARE HUNGRY, SAD, EMBARRASSED, SEEING PEOPLE YOU KNOW, ETC.  REMEMBER WHAT ALYSSA SAID – LOOK IN PURSE, TIE SHOES, WRITE ON FORMS. Welfare scene – step n lines. Set it up quicker. People noises Someone help Cheyanne move Paige’s stuff. Begin with the table first. They’re hiring!  REACT!!!!!!!!!!! Set furnace early. Must be PASSION in songs & Energy 1st drinking scene –cards, stage business, craps –bigger, timing was SLOW. Hilton scene – react after saying your lines in the ensemble HILTON scene. Bar dancing – more of it. When Frank pushes, there must be sound. No straight lines. Hilton scene died. When guys come out of steel mill, they meet Hilton as he comes out of the office. There was no reaction to Reg’s speech. No energy to solidarity scene. Radio scene – good Billy, Reg, & Nate – straight line Work on fight. Wall & Gate – eyes to floor. When Nate is being beat up – we need noise from Nate & People noises. FREEZE when you are supposed to. Women are not committed. Women must step up. Show should have more energy Parade – no one reacted to Reg’s idea. Throw hats Bigger reactions to Billy Song at the end must be passionate. Everyone is responsible for his/her own props. All guys stipple. Dead time with checkers scene Hit on shoulder – Nate was the only one who did it. Need people noises- waitin for months. Strike scaring---- everyone look at lines. Voting boxes? Voting scene – SING Striking – be in character Rework train dancing Thursday – start on stage at 6:30. End at 9 Sunday – on stage dressed by 2 – end at 4:30. We have to be better by Monday.  No one is in the first slot, so we can have more time with Freida.  Get in here by 8:30- dressed & makeup by 9.  If it takes you longer, come in earlier. I am here by 7.
Music	Louder at the beginning – hit it. We’ll add another whistle. Music was late when Marie comes in after checkers Late with Mr. Hilton ensemble music
Light	Too light in wall scene Did not do light cue with Billy, Rose, Marie scene. Too light in train scene – dark red wash.
Billy -	Good opening Stronger listening at the beginning Don’t walk in front of Nate –pervert. Good job watching Kelly & Hilton We need to see you make the decision to run –Nate scene. News paper with onion scene.
Alice	Louder and more confidant You can be…..BEAT…or change it. ACCENT – louder Work on accent. Ox-headed – accent with line Accents in and out
Reg	Reblock scene where your back is to audience. We climbed bridges – close eyes, smile and remember Cheat out more in every scene. We need to see your decisions. Need to see your decisions. Last line in billy/reg scene – hold billy out and say last line. Good job today.
Nathan	I’ve got you (inject meaning) Need to see train light.
Men	Shovel coal into hearth.  Move around. Tools – These are your responsibility – put them by the gray set. Freeze after hearth scene. LOUDER IN MILL
Cody	Clipboard is your responsibility During song – move to Billy.
Paige and Nathan	Move ladders where they need to be in checkers scene after your child scene.
Marie and Louis	Need more from you.  Have fun.  Louis, be more frustrated. Build the scene – Louis with a grin. Kiss Accents in and out – more hand movements
Hilton and Kelly	We need to see your relationship grow from strained, to friendly, to betrayed and hating to betray.
Nate	We have to hear your drinks are on me. Louder and wait until you have everyone’s attention. Watch swaying. LOUDER DICTION Hard to breathe – ribs broken.
Rose	Good job. Watch turning upstage git
Rose & Nate	This is the millionth time you have had these instructions. Slap scene started great – needs to build to slap.
Reg & Alice	Walk off in character Too memorized – no feeling about mortgages.  You will be HOMELESS. Got off string line great
Reg & Frank	Need to see your faces- take time. Move DSC.  Audience must care about you
Kelly	Maybe glasses to look over Hard for you to tell Hilton about the people.
Frank	Mic – Frank, face audience more. Great job today When turning, turn into the audience.
Hilton	With Frank –be pushier.
Marie	Work on accent Diction at the beginning. Liked olive dress – fix waist. Wear coat or sweater.
Nate & Hayden	How do you get on? Blocked.
