ReplyDeleteI was trying to pull off a gruff brother that doesn't really know how to express his love for his brother, but I guess it doesn't look that way to the audience so I will try to be a little lest cold.
ReplyDeleteSince we have so many scenes involving the union office, I think it's necessary to make each one different from the last. There has to be something that sets it apart, like every scene should.
ReplyDeleteOkay I'm going to be funnier with my lines that are insulting Carson and work on my accent. I feel like it could still be better. I'll figure out where to change at and look for more hats and I'll change gloves too.
ReplyDeleteWe just need to clean up everything and polish ourselves to where we all know what's next and what we need to do to get there.
I need to use more hand movements while I am talking, work on my accent, and work harder to show that I am Italian.
ReplyDeleteI know I need to refine my cues and possibly Change a few of them to work better with that particular scene I think that this clinic was a great way to show is that we need to get our act together. Comment 11
ReplyDeleteI feel that there needs more people noises. I think that Nate ans Rose need to find out when they start to feel like being together is like a chore. They need to see when the stress of the strike starts to hurt them.
ReplyDeleteComment 10
ReplyDeleteI think that the welfare scene is the hardest because you need to have a dozen different feelings. Embarrassed, dreadful, humiliated, ect.
For the one I am missing:
ReplyDeleteBecause Frank had to leave school early, wouldn't he be more illiterate than others? Even though he was 15 when he left school, people back then were less literate any way than people of modern time. Frank could show his illiteracy when attempting to read the script provided to him on the radio.
For today's:
My main goal for Monday is to be more organized with all of my costume changes and props and to know what season it is for every scene. As an ensemble I believe we need to work on our noises, because it seems to me that we are loud when we need to be quiet (like setting welfare scene) and quiet when we need to be loud(people noises). We also need to work on knowing what we are saying and not just repeating lines, as well as the relationships we have with the other characters.
As the Foremen I need to be more of a stickler to the workers. keep them in line, get onto the workers sometimes. Be bold and assertive with my actions.
ReplyDeleteDuring practices we all need to be more focused and dedicated. I thought we did a better job of it yesterday but if we are to go to state, we need more. We are all very talented and have what it takes. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThe clinic was rough. We need to step it up. It broke my heart when Freida said she was dissapointed in us. We are not one of those schools. Hayden is exactly right, if our goal is state then we need to bring our play to the next level.
ReplyDeleteY'all have been doing this for a while now you need to get your lines down. Before tryouts i had all the lines down from the place we were supposed to i had the accent and everything you need to take maybe 30 minutes out of your day and do your lines it's not like their just going to walk in your brain you have to practice out side of school from what I've heard y'all are getting better, but i promise if you take time to look at your lines it'll me great not just good
